The Tercentenary Campaign Group is pleased to be able to make some Hutton-related products and memorabilia available in return for a donation to support our work. This is administered by the Edinburgh Geological Society, and all funds raised will contribute to our work at Siccar Point and other initiatives related to James Hutton.

Direct donations are very welcome, and can be made by bank transfer, Paypal or cheque. Please get in touch to discuss which works best for you. Thank you!

The Hutton Hat

These amazing Shetland-Wool hand-knitted hats incorporate three classic geological locations that Hutton worked on. The base represents Glen Tilt, the middle represents Siccar Point, and the top represents Hutton’s Section on Arthur’s Seat. Choose from Beanie or Tammie style. Many thanks to Miranda G for designing, creating, and donating these amazing hats, and to the volunteer knitters who have produced them.
